Maybe, but when I run the test on the hard-wired desktop, the W-Fi laptop is not being used.  More curiosity than complaint here, Aaron - VPN and remote desktop work just about as well as being there.  Just thought you should know. BTW, when I ran the test in the wee hours (0500) today, the results were 7317 down and 6321 up.  Less load on the system I recon.

Yup, there will be a little variance due to load on our system as well as the internet as a whole. I have actually found that sometimes I get a better speed test to Vancouver than I do to Seattle.

Re: Speed Test Results

There is something really funky going on with my D/L speeds over the past couple weeks and I haven't made any configuration changes since the initial install some months ago.

I am now averaging about 500 kbps down and 4500 kbps up - anything obvious I should check?

Re: Speed Test Results
the first thing I would check is to see if you or a close neighbor has any wireless gear using the same frequency as your radio.

trango 5.8 - looks like a directv dish

deliberant external 2.4 - looks like a beige box

ruckus internal unit 2.4 - looks like a nail dryer

otherwise, please do feel free to write us at support@thunderbirdbroadband.net or call us at 360-691-6963 and we'll see what we can do to get your speeds up again.

I'm not sure what neighborhood you are in, but Lake Alyson is currently experiencing interference in the 2.4 and 900 range which we are trying to alleviate.

Alysa, Thunderbird Broadband.
