Re: Speed Test Results
I've made two more calls and still no replies.  Intermittent service continues - another major outage this afternoon, just came back on around 2:15 today.

I'm glad to know that this is not just my equipment.  If the phone message or this web site had a current status I would have at least been able to know that.  Instead I've been totally frustrated for weeks of frequent outages.

Re: Speed Test Results

Yes, I think I may have bought a new router thinking that was the problem and that apparently doesn't seem to be the case. Oh well, my dad needs a wireless router anyway so that's where my old one will go.

I, too, have noticed intermittent outages thoughout the day for weeks, if not months. Here this whole time I was thinking it was my router. We have direct line of sight and are approximately 6-7 miles from the tower.

Aaron, or somebody, can you please tell us what is going on? Even if you don't know, just tell me that.

I am still a happy customer but I would really like to be able to get answers to my questions or a return reply when I make an inquiry.

Re: Speed Test Results
Service has been solid and fast now for a couple of days.  No clue what was going on for the preceding weeks, but the good news is that our equipment is OK, and for now internet coverage is back to original excellent level.  Throughout this I never received any reply to my phone and email contacts.

I would sure like to see a "news" or Forum posting from Aaron that would let us know what happened and hopefully provide some confidence that it is less likely to happen again.  The last "News" post was in 2007 - and it was covering very much this kind of issue.  To be fair, I would rather know that the team was working hard on solving the problem, and posting a progress report to customers was a lower priority, but perhaps now the pressure is off?

speed issues
Ok, sorry guys for not updating more often. Aaron took a day job and that pretty much leaves Dennis and myself (Alysa) to take care of installations, fixits, billing, phones, and everything else. Not an excuse, but alas we tend to get overwhelmed some days and forget to get back to the updating everyone as to what was going on. Our tower router was having issues keeping up with the traffic load, and had to be replaced and tweaked until it was working well and is an issue that should be completely fixed by tomorrow. We replaced our backhaul radios (the ones between the fiber in Everett and our tower on Gunsite Ridge) last week and speeds got much better. Even the best of radio's dont seem to last forever, and technology keeps improving so we try to stay on top of things as finances allow. We're working on getting speeds back up to Tbird fast asap. Again hopefully the router thing will be finished this weekend and all will be well again.

Re: speed issues
Thanks very much for the update Alysa.  I'm sure we all very much appreciate knowing what's going on.  Speeds and reliability have improved greatly as of late, although there have still been short outages now and then.  I hope the upgrades are successful - I'm sure your workload will go way down when that happens!
