There are no special settings to use for email. If you have a thunderbirdbroadband email someone@thunderbirdbroadband.com then you need to use the whole email address as the username, and you need to check the box that says "outgoing email requires authentication" It uses the same info as the incomming username and password.

If you are trying to get other email to work, there is nothing special.

If you were on dialup before, you may need to go into the settings and find the tab for connections, then make sure that it is set to never dial a connection.
